Most of the current immigration policies are closely related to the economy and labor market due to a ripple effect such as production and added value inducement effects caused by the increase of migrant labors and their consumption expenditure. Therefore, a lot of empirics on immigration impact can be found in papers and studies in academic area; however, these effects are not well known in the case of Korea because the empirical studies on Korea are almost none exist due to data shortage problems. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the estimated results of the economic impact of migrant workers of Korean case using Input-Output tables published by the Bank of Korea.
